Although my name is Mary-Claire Fredette (technically Mary-Claire Katherine Brinkman Fredette if you want to add in my confirmation and maiden names!), it’s a bit tricky for most people to remember. Either it’s “Mary” or “Marie-Claire”. Rarely do they get it right. When I have to give my name at a restaurant, it’s always “Claire” since there may be other Marys about. So “Claire Fredette Photography” it is.
Long story short, if my 18 year old says my photo is weird, then I know I’m on the right path for me. Having explored many genres of photography, I realized that what I like best is conceptual or surreal, photos that make one think or tell a story.
